What model car do I have?
Car model information can be found on the car's ID tag. Mostly this tag is mounted in the front bonnet and provides information about the chassis, the original engine and colour of the car.
Do I still have the original engine in my car?
The engine number is mentioned on both the car's ID tag and on the engine ID Label. When these two match you have the original engine in the car. For some models it is quite common that the engine and gearbox have been replaced. For example; the Fiat 500 can often be found with a Fiat 126 engine and the last model 500 gearbox. Please check this before ordering parts for your car.
What do I check before driving my classic car?
Before driving the car, you visually check the car every time for oil leaks, tire pressure and overall condition.
Can I do basic maintenance on my car?
Classic cars originally needed more maintenance and needed to be checked more often than today’s cars. With the help of the owner’s manual, you should be able to do the basic maintenance by yourself. In case of work at safety-critical parts we advise having your car serviced by a qualified professional mechanic.
Where do I find the oil filter on my car?
The Fiat 500, 600 and 850 have an internal centrifugal filter and not an external filter like today’s cars. This filter is located in the pulley on the crankshaft and to clean it you need to remove the pulley cover and scrape clean the cover and the pulley. Before mounting the cover back, do make sure to replace the O-ring to prevent leakage.
Which spare parts do I need to have in the car?
We suggest always having the following spare parts with you in the car:
- Condenser
- Rotor arm
- Distributor cap
- Spark plugs
- Spark plug leads
- Oil dipstick
- V-belt
How do I use the choke on my car?
With a classic car you need to use the choke when you start the car as the engine is still cold. For this you pull the choke as far out as possible and start the car without touching the gas pedal. Once the car is started you slowly push back down the choke. When you want to start the car with a warm engine do not pull the choke out but instead slightly press the gas pedal while starting.
My car has an unsynchronized gearbox. How do I operate this gearbox?
Shifting up can be done just like with any other manual drive car, although it does require some care. Shifting down should be done by so-called "double clutching". To do this, press the clutch and place the gearbox in neutral. Then release the clutch and simultaneously apply some gas. Then press the clutch again and select the lower gear. The first gear and the revers can only be applied when the car has come to a complete stop first.
Do you sell original Fiat parts or aftermarket replacement parts?
Most parts are aftermarket parts often produced by companies that originally supplied directly to Fiat. For most models, Fiat does not sell the parts anymore, but in case it is a genuine Fiat part it is mentioned in our webshop.
Are the parts you sell new or used?
Most parts we sell are new and we have an extensive program of remanufactured products, both come with a 1-year limited warranty. Additionally we occasionally sell some used parts as well. In the webshop remanufactured and used parts are clearly mentioned.
How do you check the quality of the parts?
Classic car parts are often produced in small series and on the original tooling from back in the days. Therefore these parts show much greater deviation in tolerance and aesthetics than we are used to today with modern automotive parts production processes.
Product quality is key for your safety and proper working of your classic Fiat. At FD Ricambi we pay much attention to these quality aspects and audit our suppliers and incoming goods ensuring the functionality and fitment are correct. However, on aesthetics products may deviate in appearance like finish color and have minor surface imperfections. Product pictures used in the webshop are then also only a reference for the product overall design.
Do you have parts available not shown in your web shop?
All parts we sell are listed in our webshop. In case you cannot find the parts, you need you can send an email to sales@fdricambi.com. Based on your requirement we will do our best to help you.

Availability
The product I want is out of stock. Now what?
- Go to the product you want and click the request-stock-button
- Once the product is available again you will be informed directly via email.
When do you get new stock?
To ensure product availability for you, we hold stock of all listed parts. Oldtimers parts are however not produced on a daily basis and so it can happen that we run out of stock temporarily. All you have to do is click the request-stock-button in our webshop for the product you want. Once the product is on stock again you will immediately receive an email notification.
I am looking for a specific product, but I couldn't find it in your webshop. Can you help me with this?
All the parts we have available are shown in our webshop. To service you best we always develop our product line up and are much interested to hear which part you could not find. You can contact us by email at info@fdricambi.com. If you have a picture of the part you are looking for, please add it to your email.
Payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
We offer all common payment methods, like PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer. If you complete the order, you will find all payment methods in our webshop. Multisafepay handles our online payments. They may be mentioned on your bank statement.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes, you can pay by bank transfer. Please do make sure you mention the payment reference you received, otherwise we cannot link your payment to your order.
Can I shop now and pay later?
At this moment, this is not possible.
Do you have a gift card?
At this moment, we do not offer any gift cards.
Can I have a special discount?
Follow us on Facebook or Instagram at @fiatfdricambi, and sign up for our newsletter. We occasionally have special promos and discounts for our loyal customers.
I paid Core Exchange Fee, when do I get this back?
Core Exchange fees are applicable on remanufactured products. When returning the old defective product from your car the fee will be credited back to your account.
I need to pay core exchange fee, what is this?
Core Exchange fees are applicable on remanufactured products. For remanufacturing, old defect products are needed, therefore when ordering such items you are charged with this fee and when sending us the old defect unit back this fee is credited back to your account.

I have received confirmation that you have refunded my money, but it hasn't shown up in my account yet. What should I do now?
If a payment is refunded, it is always refunded to the account you used for the payment. So, if you paid with PayPal, the amount is refunded to your PayPal account. The amount will show up a few days after the refund. It can take some time before the refund is processed.

Returns
Tell me about the return process.
You have the right to return the product without reason within 30 days of receiving it at your own expense. All goods must be returned in the original (if possible, unopened) package and be in new condition.
FD Ricambi will issue a full refund within 14 days after receiving the goods in good condition. Return shipping costs will not be refunded.
Make sure that you have proof of return at all times. If you have already used the product you brought from us, it is not possible to return the parts.
How do I return an item?
For returning an item, please go to our webshop and log in to your account. Open the order of which you want to return items, and click on the items that you wish to return. The system will guide you through the process.

I received a damaged parcel. What should I do?
If you receive a parcel that is visibly damaged, please ask the courier to make a note of this before you sign for reception. If you have no possibility to do so, we kindly ask you to take a photo of the damaged parcel and email it to us. This makes it easier for us to claim the damage with the courier and speeds up to process of possibly replacing the damaged goods.
Who will cover the return shipping cost?
The shipping cost for returning parts is paid by you. When we ask you to return a faulty product or wrongly sent product we will reimburse the shipping costs or we will send a courier to pick them up (see also our General Sales Terms)

How much does the shipping cost?
The shipping cost is calculated automatically in our webshop based on the total weight or volume of the order. If you log in to your account and add the parts you need to your shopping basket, the shipping cost will be shown before you start the payment process.
How do I pay for my orders shipping cost?
All product prices are exclusive shipping costs. The shipping costs will be calculated automatically according to the receiver's destination and will be shown in your shopping basket before check-out. We are shipping parts worldwide and we try to offer several shipping options per destination at very competitive rates.
What is the delivery time?
In general, orders are shipped within two business days. Once an order is shipped, you will receive tracking information via email. The actual delivery time depends on the destination.
What is the item's delivery time if it's out of stock?
With a difficult supplies market and a constantly changing world, it unfortunately is hard to give an accurate estimate of delivery times if a product is out of stock.
At the product page, you can request to receive an email once a product is back in stock.
When can I expect to receive my order?
Once the order is shipped, you will receive tracking information from us. Please check the tracking details for an estimated delivery date.
Can I come to your store to buy and/or pick up products?
We are a distribution company and do not provide in-store shopping. For online orders we do offer a pick-up moment each Friday between 1 and 3 pm. Please note that this is only for personal pick up and that it’s not possible to send a courier.
Can I send my own courier to pick up my order?
For your convenience we have contracts with the world-leading forwarders to ensure the lowest shipping tariffs. It is not possible to send your own courier to pick up the order for you.
Do you deliver all over the world?
Yes, we ship our products no matter how small or how big worldwide. You can select your preferred shipping method from our contracted forwarders. The costs will be shown in your shopping basket before check-out.
For larger items or shipments on a pallet you can request a cost quotation. For this the webshop will automatically direct you to the quotation request button.
